![]() ![]() Unfortunately we couldn't hear or enjoy any of it, as the sound system was just as it was before just too damn loud to understand. ![]() Soon the lights go out and the tournament begins. Not included are drinks from that bar, gift shop items and of course their TIP! (don't take that the wrong way, that's just how they say it). Here you are greeted and seated but a costumed person, they are you server for the evening and inform you on what you will be eating and what is and isn't included in you evening. I'm starting to understand how cattle feel as we are directed up the stairs. Little did i know this is what the whole evening was going to be like "overly LOUD and OBNOXIOUS topped with BUY STUFF!!" Finally they are letting everyone go to their tables, not that you could hear it, we had to ask for directions after they yelling over the loud speaker stopped, but at least we didn't have far to walk as we were in the blue seats close to the front hall. I join my friends who are seated at a table in the center of the hall to wait for the events to start, but once again we are propositioned for drinks and pictures and things that glow in the dark as well as made to deal with the deafening loud speakers, they were so loud you couldn't understand what was being said. I pick medium and I'm told a price over $20 FOR A DRINK!!! With my refusal to pay the $20+ they offer to give me the "small" for $7, and pour the contents of the first cup into another, they are the same size but I get to keep the expensive one. Upon ordering my drink I'm given the choice small, medium or large. Sadly I got helped but someone in casual dress clothes, it kind of runes the illusion. Needless to say I'm angry so I head to the bar to get a drink to calm my nerves, It's like a feeding frenzy, people are pushing and shoving and acting like animals, there are no visible lines just everyone hoping that a costumed worker will see them. I'm then told that while I wait I can get myself or a friend Knighted by the King or take dress up photos both of which cost extra or visit one of the many gift shops or bars and will be called to my seat later. Upon asking one of the sellers for the location of my seat I realize I was hoodwinked, and made to arrive almost 2 hours before the tournament I came to see. At this point it seemed that no matter where I turned someone was trying to sell me things. ![]() And finally able to get past the first person there are 2 more trying to sell you drinks or send you to the bar. First a person with all glowing items hit me up and tried to point me to another person selling stuff. Next you are gathered into a large reception hall and upon entering bombarded with people trying to sell you things. You are next forced to take a photograph, you are given no choice and trust me it's a waste of time to fight it. ![]() Buyer beware. If you dont upgrade ur tickets for an additional cost this is the fate you will meet.Īs you enter what looks to be a medieval castle you are lined up single file, you then hand your tickets over over a place card and then given a paper crown. I am sincerely appauled at Midevils seating and sales tactics.I find them to wrong and out right Immoral. I spoke to a Manager about our issue's but to no avail, we were given a slice of cake for desert for our issues. There is no doubt in my mind that we would have received a better seat had we not been singled out and given the worst seats.I truly am not a complainer. More so, there was a wall next to our seating which caused a partial view of the show.My neck was truly sore from craining forward in an attempt to see. I could hear but could not see due the seating and the servers, concession stand people constantly standing in the way. This caused myself and 5 year old nephew to miss the beginning of the show.Being so far at the top caused us to miss valuable, key parts of the show.I remained confused during the entire show. ! So much for come early and get a good seat ! While seated, several individuals arrived late and blocked our view for the first 5 to 10 minutes. Table 18 which was in the very last row with an obstructed view. The very worst seats in the arena. The Hostess gave us tickets for the yellow section. We thought we were getting the royal treatment. While on line a staff member singled my party out and took us directly to the front of the line. I arrived early in order to receive a decent seat. I purchased tickets online and arrived an hour and a half before the show began. I will never recommend this show to any of my friends or family. I spent over $200.00 in tickets, drinks and merchandise but barely saw the show.I am very disappointed in Midevil Times. ![]()
